DC Talk Review
Can you say cheesy? If not, you will after listening to the self titled debut by dc Talk. Boy, they have come a very long way since this venture, but it still brings back some fond memories for me. I liked this album when I first bought it so many years ago, as a new dc Talk fan, but now that its about 8 or 9 years later, I cant help but laugh when I listen to this! Although most of the rap songs are a bit too cheesy for my taste, dc Talk does have its good moments, mostly with Heavenbound, which is the opening tract, and He Loves Me, which combines Tobys rap with the soulful vocals of Michael Tait, as well as the vocals of Kevin Max (then, Kevin Smith). Its not an awful album, but to anyone just getting to know who dc Talk is, I wouldnt recommend it (it might scare them off)! I give this album 2 stars out of 5.
